The FORGE FOUNDATION is a Swiss established non-profit foundation dedicated to developing and implementing youth work and life skills training programs in nations throughout Latin America. The foundation began operations in 2006 and now has three training program centers: two in Argentina (Buenos Aires and Pilar) and one in Montevideo, Uruguay.
The driving purpose of the FORGE program is to provide assistance, training and motivation to young people from low income families as they face the prospect of finding jobs and careers in difficult economic times.
FORGE training and skills programs are built around three basic values:
Young people need to build a strong ethical foundation to be successful in life. The pillars of that ethical foundation are a personal sense of responsibility, respect for yourself and others, dedication to fair play and honesty in all things.
Knowledge is the tool best suited to pursue continued improvement in work skills and career advancement.
Employment is the key building block for personal economic growth and the foundation for personal, professional and social growth.
